The ‘Who’ of Leadership Foundational internal values and beliefs are the basis of our ‘being’. This course is designed to help individuals identify these basic essentials and clarify how this intrapersonal framework impacts their leadership. Congruence is a key concept covered here. Other topics are integrity, ethics, morality, courage, diligence, prudence, excellence, commitment, wisdom, humility and loyalty.
Leading Yourself Building on the ‘who’ of leadership, this material develops concepts around ‘centered’ leadership. The ability to lead oneself from the inside out is foundational to leading others, and this course covers intrinsic motivation, personal mission, vision, self-awareness, capacity for risk and life-changing personal choices.
Creating The Learning Environment It is incumbent upon leaders to create learning environments. This course focuses on the key skills of listening and asking powerful questions as catalysts for learning. The leader is also encouraged to be a life-long learner, applying the same skills to himself/herself: How To Listen to yourself; How To Ask yourself the right questions. It is delivered in the context of coaching where the coach is viewed as a learning partner.

The Presence of Conflict Leading in conflict is one of the most positive leadership skills. Whether it’s internal conflict, interpersonal conflict or organizational conflict, learning to live in it and with it is essential. In this course, conflict resolution is presented as a myth. Conflict management is offered as a mitigation strategy. Conflict acceptance and its related notion of negotiation is esteemed as the desirable leadership posture. It is important for the leader to understand who/what is feeding her/him in order to re-produce leaders of the same kind.

Leadership In Business

Business is one major area where leadership is the determining factor between success and mediocrity. Notice, not between success and failure. Failure is seen as simply the essence of mediocrity. Despite this amorphous reality, there are several concrete topics covered in this course where leadership is connected to the business world. Some of these are:

Service Excellence, Continuous Improvement/Quality, Value Alignment, Profitability, Effective Training and Sustainability.

Leadership In The Faith Community Leadership In The Faith Community is equally important.
